Cindy has spent more than 20 years in administrative work within the field of immigration law.
Prior to her role at TSS, Cindy worked as an administrative services officer within the migration team of the Civil Justice Program at Victoria Legal Aid. Cindy has a breadth of knowledge in litigation and a wide network of contacts including Counsels, asylum seekers, caseworkers, government solicitors, department officers, psychologists, doctors and other professionals.
Cindy worked for 17 years as a personal assistant to a leading immigration specialist in Melbourne. During this time she became familiar with family residence migration, temporary migration, business sponsorship, employer sponsored visas, business skills migration programs and cancellation of student and visitor visas. Cindy has an understanding of the Appellate jurisdiction, including knowledge of some of the leading cases in this area of law. She is also mindful of Australia’s international obligations relating to the status of refugees and its recent policy shift concerning the rights of children of detainees. Cindy has also acquired knowledge of the jurisdiction, powers and statutory procedures governing immigration and humanitarian applications and Review under the Migration Act 1958 and the Migration Regulations 1994, over her extensive career in our industry.
