Expect delays at airports around the country this week and next as Immigration and Border Protection staff strike over pay and conditions.
A week of strikes are planned by Immigration staff in international airports in Cairns, Perth and Darwin this week and Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane from Monday next week.
The four-hour work stoppages have been taking place in the early mornings and evenings. The CPSU (Community and Public Sector Union) warned the action could cause delays for international passengers.
Customs and Immigration staff held strikes in June and July across every major airport in the country.
