After the changes to the 457 visa program announced by Malcolm Turnbull in April, it is clear the 457 visa is changing dramatically, before being phased out in March 2018. After this time it will be replaced by the new Temporary Skills Shortage (TSS) Visa.

Understanding these changes is incredibly important for owners and managers of businesses sponsoring visa holders, as your obligations and future sponsorship options are being drastically revised.

Equally, current or aspiring Australian visa holders are having their potential options narrowed, including an imminent cut-off date for permanent residency application.
