New English Language Requirements introduced for 457 Visas

New legislation has been introduced, regarding qualifying English Language scores and testing regimes required for 457 visas.
Effective from 18 April 2015, a series of new English Language testing systems and scores will be be available to candidates for the Australian Employer sponsored 457 Visas. The new system is as follows:

English Language Exemptions for 457 Visa Applicants
Certain Passport Holders are Exempt |
A valid passport issued by the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, New Zealand or the Republic of Ireland, to a citizen of that country |
Nominated Salary Exemption |
Where the sponsoring employer nominates a base salary (excluding Superannuation) of above $96,400 per annum |
Secondary or Post Secondary Education, where tuition is in English for 5 cumulative years |
A signed letter, on Institution letterhead, which clearly states that all tuition was provided in the medium of the English Language, for at least period of 5 years. The letter should also provide the start and end dates of the term of education. |
